For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord; plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
First Christian Church (FCC) is embarking on a new adventure and journey that will have a profound impact on the life and ministries of the church. “Claiming God’s Vision” is a tool that will guide us through the process of developing a strategic ministry plan for the future.
The strategic planning process will incorporate prayer, scripture and the importance of discerning God’s will for our church mission. It will guide us in the following steps:
- Assessment of our current ministry life at FCC
- Determine needs of the congregation and community
- Evaluate and prioritize new ideas, programs, ministries to meet these needs
- Develop a plan of action for the future
A new “Vision Team” has been called to lead us into effective visioning and development of a strategic ministry plan:
Helen Birkinsha Debra Mikkelson
Jacob Bullock Diana Moxley
Jason Drury Tanya Newkirk
Lee Hendon Keith Rawson
Cindy Jacobson Rhonda Shell
Curtis Kipple Jason Wells
Mick West
The congregation will have an opportunity to engage in the process by sharing their ideas for the future such as, new member activities, ministry groups, education programs, outreach etc. The capturing of these God inspired ideas will include the use of a congregational questionnaire and small group discussions. Please feel free to contact anyone on the Vision Team for information or contributing your ideas related to the future of FCC.
You can help by praying for God to guide us as a church family through the visioning process and to refresh us daily with new ideas to reveal God’s plan for our future. This journey will be one of discovery, adventure and renewal.
