Pastor Lee Hendon, a native of Texas, was called to our congregation from Waycross, Georgia in December of 2001. Pastor Lee received his Bachelor’s degree from Milligan College in Johnson City, TN and his Masters of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, TN. Through the years he has served congregations in Tennessee, Texas and Georgia. One little known fact about Pastor is that he earned a CLU degree from American College while a New York Life insurance agent and sales manager.

Pastor Lee is active in several local organizations including: Atchison Ministerial Association as Treasurer, Atchison Hospital Volunteer Chaplain, N.E. Disciples Minister’s Association, President of the Atchison Hunger Task Force Board, President of the All Faith Counseling Board, Boy Scouts Chaplain and the Sonrise Men’s Club.

Pastor is very proud of his two loving children, Michelle and Chris. They live in Hendersonville, TN. He has three wonderful grandchildren Micah, Mason and Riley.

Lee is an avid motorcyclist and has taken up a recent hobby in restoring a 1978 MGB. He also dedicates time to exercising and, most recently, bicycle riding.
